The
class behavior plan helps students learn to make choices that
will help them to be the best learner they can be to prepare for
First Grade. Students learn and review the behavior
expectations for our class as well as the school every day.
Students recieve a happy stamp on their hand at the end of the day
to show they have made good choices. Please look for the happy
stamp on their hand every day!
If a
student makes a choice that shows they need help remembering a
classroom or school rule, they will be reminded first, then they
have an opportunity to make a better choice. If the student
continues to make a choice that doesn't follow the rules, they have
their name on a chart that will be moved to the color
yellow. In the event this happens, the student will not
have a happy stamp, instead will be bringing home a yellow paper
stating which rule they had difficulty with. Please talk about
this at home, sign the yellow paper and return it to school.
Further difficulties will result in their name moved to
the color blue, which means a loss of recess for that day and a blue
paper is sent home. If a student continues to have difficulty
which results in the loss of learning time in the classroom their
name is moved to the color red and I will be calling home to discuss
this and a red paper is sent home for the parent to sign and return
to school.
Good
behavior choices help us to be good learners and make the most
of our learning time together and are rewarded monthly with fun
class activities.
Please make
behavior a priority, starting from the first day at school, looking
for that happy stamp every day! With your help we will
create the best learning environment for our
class.
